PSRC Vice-President and Pierce County Executive Pat McCarthy read a proclamation from Governor Chris Gregoire declaring November 5, 2012 as Norm Dicks Appreciation Day. Puget Sound Regional Council President and Kitsap County Commissioner Josh Brown presented the Congressman with the Prosperity Partnership Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership in growing the economy of the Puget Sound region and sustaining the region’s treasured environment and way of life.
Also at the event, PSRC Executive Director Bob Drewel thanked many of the attendees for their assistance and advice in developing the Regional Economic Strategy, which lays out a blueprint for leveraging the region’s strengths while shoring up its weaknesses.
