2012 Farnborough International Air Show

The Farnborough International Air show started on Monday, July 9 in England. Boeing announced the first big order of this year’s show – a $7.2 billion order from Air Lease Corporation, a jet leasing company based out of Los Angeles, California. The order is for 75 737 MAX planes, with an option to purchase 25 more. On Tuesday, GECAS (GE’s aircraft leasing unit) announced an order for 75 of the new 737 MAX planes and 25 of  the current 737NG model.
