“Where are the Recovery Act Dollars” Update, Part 5

As is our monthly ritual, a quick update on major awards and opportunities with regard to the Recovery Act:

1) A few exciting additions, particularly on the green jobs front with all the Department of Labor grants coming out. The state did well, but in particular our region. Congrats to the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, North Seattle Community College and the NW Energy Efficiency Council, and all their partners. Overall, we’re approaching the $1 billion mark, just in industry cluster related investments in our region alone. See the list of projects here, totaling $913,319,633.56 for 576 projects!

2) Make sure to check out our matrix of how local jurisdictions used their Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant dollars!

3) Don’t think that all the money is dried up. There’s plenty of opportunities still out there, including some recently announced. Take a look.

4) Finally, the Governor’s office is looking for stories about how the Recovery Act has impacted our state. Read the instructions and then share your story.
