The Trade Alliance has a business mission in Northeast China right now. The mission is led by Ken Kirkpatrick, president for Washington of U.S. Bank and Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon. The delegation is traveling to Beijing, Tianjin (where they are as I type), Dalian and Qingdao. Steve Dunphy of the Cascade Land Conservancy is a delegate and is blogging the trip. In the last 15 years, China has grown to our state’s largest trading partner in a number of categories so it’s a place with which we keep in close touch.
